When Medium was launched in August 2012, I thought online publishing had reached its pinnacle. The beautiful Zen-ish editor felt like a desktop experience—there was no clutter, and it worked. But even more exciting were Medium Publications. I could turn my Medium posts into full-blown publications, and I tried many. Unfortunately, they all failed!
Why ?
There was no way to collaborate with contributors, much less pay them through the platform. And then how much and who should pay? The missing piece was value for value.
#nostr fixes this . I could collaborate with creators within the protocol. They can use whatever client works for them. And readers can #zap them directly through your publication.
